preparing to provide essential care for your aging Loved One.

My name is Christina.

I was a CNA for 24 years who worked with older folks to help care for and provide daily needs.  Then My own mother needed me, so I stepped away to take care of the person who needed me most.  I have now seen both sides of the care needed and given to our aging population.  My goal here is to help inform and prepare family members for caring for a loved one.

My name is Christina Barnett

I am a former Healthcare professional who used my years of experience and knowledge to care for my aging mother.  I would have NEVER put her in a nursing home.  Why, you ask?  Because I've worked in homes before.  I'd rather care for my mother in the comfort of her own home.  Nursing homes are not a bad fit for most, however I preferred to take care of my mom on my terms.  That is exactly what I did!  I’m glad I did.  I was able to see her care from both sides, as a healthcare professional and as a family member.  The downside is that I ‘was not completely prepared for what I was getting into.

Here I hope to help alleviate the burden and reduce the stress of caring for an aging parent for you.
